Moisture:
For optimal performance, store our powder detergent in a dry environment. Avoid exposure to moisture, as it can cause the product to harden and lose its effectiveness. Hardened detergent may clog laundry machine dispensers and lead to product deterioration due to chemical reactions. Please note that our powder detergent contains sodium percarbonate for effective stain removal. This chemical is sensitive to moisture and will decompose over time in a moist environment.
Temperature:
Low temperatures have minimal impact on the powder detergent, but prolonged exposure to very low temperatures may result in slight hardening. Rest assured, this does not affect the detergent's functionality. On the other hand, high temperatures may cause the product to lose oxygen, reducing its stain removal effectiveness.
Recommendations:
To ensure the best performance, store the powder detergent in a dry place at room temperature or within the range of 50F to 80F. Following these simple guidelines will help you maintain the product's quality and effectiveness. -
Liquid detergent formulations are highly sensitive to heat, but moisture is not a concern. These formulations consist of emulsified products, forming small micelles or coupling with hydrotropes.
Thickening is sometimes preferred for consumer appeal, achieved with the use of salts or carboses.
It's important to mention that laundry detergent formulations typically combine anionic and non-ionic detergents for better cleaning. These detergents can separate from the system at a specific temperature called cloud point.
Exposure to very low temperatures can lead to freezing, causing the components to destabilize, leading to separation, precipitation, or loss of viscosity. Similarly, high temperatures can produce similar effects, resulting in a loss of viscosity and separation of components, possibly leading to precipitation.
Liquid detergents left open are more susceptible to microbial contamination compared to powder detergents.
Recommendations:
For optimal results, store liquid detergent in a dry place at room temperature or within the range of 50F to 80F. By following these guidelines, you can ensure the effectiveness and longevity of the product.
